We try our best to teach our kids how to be responsible, resilient and RESPECTFUL, so it’s a particularly tough pill to swallow when they talk back, ignore you or others because they are too busy on their phone or interrupt.
Don’t feel like you are alone. Many parents struggle with this same problem. I get emails from concerned parents about their concerns about kids behaviors that they don’t think are respectful. As a parent, you can get frustrated with kids that continue to challenge you. It could be a simple as them questioning “why” about everything you ask them to do or getting them to put down the phone when you are eating dinner.

PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
A child will mimic what they learn and you are their best teacher. Modeling the behavior you want to see is key.
